Testing Out the Sumsung SC-MX20L Flash Camcorder
I inherited a brand new Samsung SC-MX20L camcorder recently, which I decided to quickly test out both the hardware and integration with my Mac. I use iMovie pretty much solely to create my masterpieces, so I need a camera that’s gong to play nice with the latest version of iMovie.
Surprisingly, iMovie recognized the camera and imported the video directly from iMovie. That’s the way I like it, uh-huh, uh-huh, That’s the way..
The video output however was pretty poor. It’s very grainy indoor with low light conditions. Even outside it had problems with grain and noticeable horizontal screening pattern.
The sound on this was quite good – maybe too good. The shots outside, the noise from the traffic is almost deafening.
Below is video I threw (literally) together with a few minutes of random footage (none of it interesting). But I used iMovie effects which were really fun to use!
